FAQ

What is the indicative PSLE AL cut-off point for YISS? I can’t seem to find this information on School Finder or the school website.

Secondary schools’ cut-off points (COPs) are generated based on the previous cohorts’ performance and for the school for students to reference in this year’s S1 Posting, particularly for the submission of school choices. The 2021 COP for YISS will only be available next year based on the actual posting outcome from the 2021 S1 Posting.

If I have an older child who is currently in Secondary 2, can I transfer him/her to YISS?

YISS will only admit Secondary 1 students in 2022.

Which digital device will the school be procuring for students for PDLP?

Students will be using iPads as their Personal Learning Device.

What makes YISS different from others?

Being the Centre for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE), our teachers work closely with professors from the National Institution of Education (NIE) as well as the Master Teachers from the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST) to bring learning to the next level for our students. Our teachers are constantly sharpening their pedagogical skills through this strong tripartite collaboration to enhance teaching and learning of our students.

We also have a strong emphasis on preparing our students to be future-ready and we offer many opportunities and platforms for students to develop future-ready competencies and digital literacy skills.

Our school campus is designed to cater to different kinds of learners, driving autonomous learning such that learning takes place anytime and anywhere.
